Name: Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan
Born: Joy Keenan
Age: Thirty-two. May vary in some game play.
Occupation: Forensic anthropologist, Jeffersonian Institute. FBI consultant. Best selling author.
Residence: Washington D.C.


Description: A Caucasian female of taller stature, approximately five foot nine inches. She has light-medium brown hair with blue eyes, and is fit and in shape. She keeps her hair medium length and often wears it down and wavy, except when working with evidence – in which case she ties it up in a ponytail.


Temperance Brennan is a hyper-rational, highly intelligent scientist who works with her partner, Special Agent Seeley Booth, to solve some of the more gruesome murders that pass through the doors of the FBI.

Childhood trauma of being abandoned first by her parents and then by her older brother at age fifteen left Brennan alone in the world. To combat emotions she would rather not understand, she uses logic and science to distance herself from everything around her. Despite her genius and ability to understand some of the most complex scientific principles, the ability to often understand basic human emotions and connections eludes her. Bones are easier to read and comprehend; the dead speak to her in ways the living sometime can not. Since working with Agent Booth, Brennan has made strives to form connections with people and not just the dead.

As the foremost expert in her field, Brennan can be very controlling and opinionated in her work. She strives to work for the truth and refuses to jump to conclusions. Aside from being an accomplished writer and researcher, she is also capable of speaking a number of foreign languages, is trained in martial arts, and a proficient shot. Yet, basic pop culture references will almost always elude her.

Disclaimer: Temperance Brennan of "Bones" does not belong to me. I am only borrowing her for role play in a couple of different communities.

As of February 2011, Brennan comes to Amatomnes mid-season six. For Paradisa she is brought in directly after the end of season five. Both mun and muse are over 18. Journal may contain adult concepts.
